Sign2pw

What is this?

Its's a tiny webapp written in Scala. It helps you to quickly create qnd-pwhashs with the salt is located on server.

How do I use this?

You can use this page to hash something or the smarter way is to use it like a real webservice:

https://sign2pw.kutzmann.eu/:pepper

This gives you an result without any overhead. But remember the salt is located on this server. It's smarter to deploy your own instance!

How do i get my own instance?

so

You have to clone the repo with

git clone http://git.kutzmann.eu/ck/sign2pw

and then copmile & run the project with

sbt run

for more informations see Play docs.

or so

Load the newest zip-file under Releases and extract it on your target maschine. After that you have to change the permission of ~/bin/sign2pw with

chmod +x ~/bin/sign2pw

and check up the config file in ~/conf. Now you can execute the script and the Netty Webserver should start and listen on localhost:9000.

You can configure more than that, see at Play docs.

Why did you build this?

I was looking for an example project to improve my Scala- and Play-skills 😉 This project is like an adult code snipped and not finished yet... so hit me up with feedback.
